Before Disney became a major player in the film industry, its founder Walt Disney experienced a number of failures. The young artist from Missouri founded his very first studio, Laugh-O-Gram, on 23 May 1922 in Kansas City, far from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood or New York. It was an adventure that proved both formative and complicated. However, this only strengthened his determination.
